(shown at right performing at the last Paetenians International-Canada
Christmas Dinner/Dance) has come out with his latest CD "Ating Paraiso"
which has hit the stands in Canada and the U.S.
"Ating Paraiso" (Our Paradise") is a song about the environment. This is one of Marc's unique and inspiring musical compositions with permeating lyrics by Nina Quirino. Marc co-arranged the music and background vocals with Nina Quirino and Philippines' award-winning music arranger, Arnold Buena of Soundsprint Music and Digitrax in Makati, Manila.
Marc's composition was inspired by our mother country, the Philippines, and his keen desire to help in restoring a healthy environment, worldwide.
"Ating Paraiso" emotes the feelings of someone's cry to awaken our unconscious minds and senseless uncaring towards our beloved earth's environment: the dying trees, the staling, humid and sticky air, the polluted lakes and rivers and muddy seas drenched with spilt oil and gases and waste (hence our tinted, poisoned drinking waters) and birds and animals driven into extinction, the uncontrollable spitfires from volcanoes all around the world, the numerous and repeated earthquakes, signifying for some that it might be the end of this world. All these catastrophes serve as catalysts doomed to destroy the all existant races.
"Ating Paraiso" reminds
us that nobody else is responsible but us, the human race who had and have
been doing the unthinkable senseless, loveless, careless actions to our
environment. The message tells us that we will never live through the next
millenium if we do not do something right now."
