HUNDREDS JOIN STAR OLYMPICS '98

Pasig City, June 26, 1998 - For two weekends, thousands of movie and entertainment fans will flock to the PSC Philsports Multi-purpose Arena to watch their favorite personalities engage in basketball, volleyball, wall climbing, obstacle course and other exciting games designed mainly for fun and camaraderie.

The Katipunan ng mga Artista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (KAPP) holds its annual gathering of stars for fun and competitive sports on June 27 and July 4.

This year's theme is "Artista: Sama-Sama. Nagkaisa para sa Industriya."

The games open June 27, at 10 a.m. with a grand parade of stars and elimination games. On July 4, also beginning at 10 a.m., will be the championship games.

Awarding ceremonies will be held at the end of the last day of games.

Provincial fans will be able to view the games in the succeeding weekends, July 4 and July 10, at 5 p.m. on Channel 13.

Overall coordinator of this year's event is KAPP president Ronnie Ricketts. Overall sports coordinator is Tirso Cruz III assisted by Richard Gomez.
