THALIA RETURNS TO RP FOR CENTENNIAL CONCERTS

Manila, June 1, 1998 - Mexican Actress Thalia of "Marimar" fame will visit the Philippines for the third time to join the country's centennial celebrations.

Her visit, dubbed the "Thalia '98: The Centennial Visit," starts with a call on the First Lady, Mrs. Ming Ramos, on June 9. The next day, she flies to Cebu and prepares for a June 12 "Thalia in Cebu Centennial Concert" at the Ayala Commercial Center.

Thalia will be wowing the "masa" in Metro Manila with "Thalia in Manila III Centennial Concert" at the El Shaddai Grounds near the Philippine International Convention Center after the Cebu performance.

To hype her live performances, the original "Marimar" telenovela will be replayed by RPN daily while a radio adaptation titled "Marimar Radyo Novela" will be broadcast over 14 RPN radio stations nationwide in Tagalog and Cebuano versions.
