3-DAY CENTENNIAL LEAVE FOR GOVT WORKERS
Malacanang, May 7, 1998 - To properly promote the Philippine Centennial Exposition 1998, also called Expo Pilipino, President Ramos has issued Administrative Order No. 392 granting government employees a special 3-day leave with pay.
Public servants can take advantage of the leave an time from June 6, 1998 to June 15, 199, "to allow them and their families to visit and take part in the exposition."
The President approved the recommendation of the National Centennial Commission for an Administrative Order to enjoin all government agencies to promote and encourage visits to the Expo Pilipino.
The NCC and Expo Pilipino have developed the "Expo Family Day" program aimed to provide every Filipino and his family the opportunity to visit the exposition and cultivate their understanding of Philippine arts, culture, history and achievements.
Similar programs will be promoted for employees in the private sector and for students and faculty members.
