MOUNT PINATUBO HOVERING TOUR FOR CENTENNIAL GUESTS
Clark Field, May 6, 1998 - A hovering tour of the Mount Pinatubo crater on a 2-seater Cessna aircraft is one of the optional side trips available to local and foreign tourists visiting the international exposition or Expo Pilipino, which is scheduled to open May 5 inside the sprawling Clark Special Economic Zone.
Special interest tour packages have been formulated by the Department of Tourism's Central Luzon regional office and may be availed of for a very minimal fee. which will include guided tours of tourist attractions around the vast fenced exposition site.
The P180 entrance fee to Expo Pilipino entitles the visitor to two days of touring the complex. Interesting sites include the Clark Museum, the Crystal Factory, duty free shops, tour of the 86- hectare Mimosa Golf and Country Club, Philippine Christmas Village in San Fernando Pampanga, and visits to lahar-covered communities.
DOT Regional Director Ronaldo Tiotuico said his office is offering the special tour package in coordination with the Association of Travel agencies of Pampanga.
Expo Pilipino is located in the centennial park which will be the centerpiece of the 100th anniversary of Philippine Independence on June 12.
