PBA: MILKMEN OVER BEERMEN, REALTORS OVER PHONEPALS
Pasay City, May 28, 1998 - Alaska massacred San Miguel Beer, 101-69, to share the early lead in the PBA Commissioner's Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome Tuesday night.
The Milkmen's strategy forced the Beermen to score only 10 points in the second quarter, by which time the score was a telling 55-28.
Meanwhile, an all-Filipino Sta. Lucia Realty team bested Mobiline, 74-68 in the first game of the evening.
Abandoned by its import Melvin Cheatum after a losing game last Sunday, the Realtors scored their first win and evened their win-loss card to 1-1. They lost their first game to San Miguel last weekend.
Sta. Lucia coach Dick Pumaren said the team will have import Ronnie Coleman or Khari Jaxon when the team plays Purefoods on Saturday.
