INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS IN SUBIC RACE
Subic Freeport, May 14, 1998 - The "Asian Festival of Speed" will start May 23 at the Subic International Raceway with leading competition drivers from more than 10 countries participating
Considered the biggest motorsports event in the region, the Southeast Asian Touring Car Zone Challenge and the Ford Asian Formula 2000 will highlight the event organized by Danny Stacy Chau and hosted by Sports Values Inc.
"We are leaving no stone unturned in to ensure the success of this event, which is widely considered as Southeast Asia's premier international formula and touring car race series," said SVI president Pocholo Ramirez.
Ramirez, one of the leading competition drivers in Asia in the 1970s, said the event will put the Philippines back in the international motorsports scene.
Spicing up the twin international events are the Pennzoil super saloon series, the BF Goodrich Challenge and the Manila Sports Club Historic Car Race.
