Pasay City, May 7, 1998 - Alaska Milk never allowed San Miguel Beer to find its rhythm as the Milk Kings routed the Beermen 96-61 in Game Six of their best-of-seven championship series for the PBA All-Filipino Cup last Monday night at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Kenneth Duremdes was the deadliest sniper of them all as he pumped in 15 of his 23 points in the first half where Alaska led by as much as 20 points and never looked back.
The game was so lopsided that the margin of victory of 38 points established an all-time high in PBA finals history.
The output of the Beermen is also the lowest ever by any team in any championship series of the league. The title previously was held by Purefoods with a score of 62.
The championship do-or-die seventh game battle will be held Friday.
