EROTIC "TATSULOK" TO GUAM, ZURICH
Manila, May 20, 1998 - "Tatsulok" is already being described as one of the steamiest films in the history of Philippine movies, bolder than "Scorpio Nights" or "Uhaw" and even more risqué than "Isla" or "Hubo."
It is considered more daring than its director's own classics "Boatman" and "Segurista" and is earning raves for all its stars for director Tikoy Aguiluz, although it still has not been shown in movie houses in the Philippines.
The movie, starring Elizabeth Oropesa, Albert Martinez and Amanda Page, will premiere at the Guam Megaplex next week. It moves on to the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland, where there will be a special retrospective of Tikoy Aguiluz' works.
The other Aguiluz movies to be shown in Zurich are "Rizal sa Dapitan," "Boatman" and "Bagong Bayani."
The film revolves around the influence of American presence in Olongapo and Subic. Albert is the Amerasian son who hates his American father. Amanda Page is the lost daughter of Elizabeth Oropesa, the product of a horrible night when Elizabeth was gang-raped by five American military men.
Elizabeth plays a lonely matron married to a very rich businessman who fills her time with days and nights of unbridled passionate encounters with Albert. Albert is also the lover of Amanda, who grew up not knowing her real biological mother.
The film is not expected to have an easy time with Philippine censors.
