NORA GOING BACK TO MOVIES AND TV
Manila, May 16, 1998 - The most visible and effective crowd-drawer of the Estrada-for-President campaign, Superstar Nora Aunor, is now ready to face the cameras again.
With Vice President Joseph Estrada securely comfortably leading and practically proclaimed as the next president of the Republic of the Philippines, La Aunor is returning to her first love: show business.
Her first movie venture with be a dramatic movie to be line-produced by Jesse Ejercito, brother of Veep Estrada.
The movie has a working title "Sidhi" and Nora's role will be that of a deaf-mute. Mentioned as a co-star is Raymond Bagatsing.
There are also reports that television producers are scrambling to revive Nora's TV shows "Superstar" and the weekly drama anthology "Ang Makulay na Daigdig ni Nora" which held the country spell-bound for many years.
Nora's birthday celebration on May 21 promises to be a victory party as well. Millions of Nora Aunor fans are expected to celebrate in their own peculiar ways. They're just glad their idol is back in circulation, and in the public eye.
