MARTIN NO LONGER LIVES WITH POPS?

Manila, May 4, 1998 - The Manila Times today confirmed a rumor that's been circulating for a while: Martin Nievera has left the Ayala Alabang home he shared with wife Pops Fernandez. According to the Lifestyle Section's Prattle column, Martin now sleeps in his office, the Big Mouth Productions.

The Times adds that Pops no longer keeps track of her husband's whereabouts. Martin reportedly left for the US during Easter week to spend time with his lady love in Manhattan, and all that time Pops thought he was merely at Subic.

The public's attention once more turned to the Martin-Pops marital troubles when Pops failed to show up for the Richard Gomez-Lucy Torres wedding in Ormoc last April 28, despite having confirmed her attendance. A Manila Times source said Pops made a last-minute decision to accept a booking in Guam.

The Times speculated that it could be because the wedding organizer, not knowing what's what between the two, booked only one hotel room to be shared by Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nievera.
