RUDY FERNANDEZ RETURNS PACC GUN
Camp Crame, Quezon City, May 1, 1998 - Movie actor Rudy Fernandez has returned to the Firearms and Explosives Division of the Philippine National Police the Colt Gold Cup .45 caliber pistol he had reportedly received from the Presidential Anti-Crime Commission.
The gun was one of the 96 firearms allegedly missing from the PACC, once headed by Vice President Joseph Estrada, a friend of Rudy Fernandez.
The action star, however, clarified that he bought the gun "in good faith" from firearms dealer Butch Tuason.
He added that the .45 caliber gun was licensed to him by the Philippine National Police Firearms and Explosives Division under Executive Order 122 or the Amnesty Law.
