KENNY ROGERS COPYCAT LOSES COURT BATTLE

Makati City, May 1, 1998 - The Regional Trial Court of Makati, Branch 134, has ordered a Filipino restaurant to desist from copying or imitating the unique concept, features and design of Kenny Rogers Roasters Restaurants.

RTC Judge Ignacio Capulong has issued a writ of preliminary injunction against Linda's Rotisserie Kitchen Philippines Inc., owner and operator of New Jersey's Chicken Restaurant, located along Del Monte Avenue in Quezon City.

Linda's Rotisserie Kitchen was found engaging in unfair competition against Roasters Philippines Inc., owner and operator of Kenny Rogers Roasters Restaurants.

Linda's Rotisserie was given a 30-day period within which to remove, dismantle or modify all the features found in New Jersey's Chicken Restaurant that are confusingly similar to what Kenny Rogers Roasters is using.

Roasters Philippines field the suit last December 1997.
