CENTENNIAL MOVEMENT IN
CANADA BEAUTY PAGEANT

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, April 12, 1998 - The Philippine Centennial Movement, Canada Chapter (PCMC) led by newspaper publisher Ed Lee and the Philippine Centennial Commission led by Salvador Laurel are gearing for the Beauty Pageant of the Century.

A "Bb. Philippine Centennial Canada" contest have been launched and candidates from the Canadian provinces listed to date are Fiel Siochi from Ontario; Angelyn Casem from Manitoba; Michelle Lee from Alberta; Charmaine Castro from Quebec; and Catherine Carlos from Manitoba.

The final competition to select 4 fnalists is slated on May 16, 7:00 p.m. at the George Weston Hall Recital Hall of the Ford Centre for Performing Arts, North York, Ontario.

The 4 finalists will represent Canada in the international "Bb Philippine Centennial Pageant" competition in Manila on June 6 at the new Freedom Ring Theatre within the Expo Pilipino site in Clark City, Pampanga.
