CEBU PACIFIC FLIGHTS RESUME APRIL 6
Manila, April 5, 1998 - Cebu Pacific will resume operations Monday, April 6, with ten daily flights.
The Air Transportation Office has formally lifted the grounding of the airline's fleet, and cleared three of its seven aircraft. All the necessary requirements for the remaining four have been completed and they are now being assessed by the ATO before final approval to allow them to fly again.
Diego Garrido, Cebu Pacific senior vice president and general manager, expressed confidence that the remaining aircraft will be released this weekend.
"We have gone through two very gruelling months," he said. "However, we are coming in and starting service with a very strong desire to serve the Filipino travelling public and making travel as affordable as we have from day one."
Garrido said public response to the lifting of the grounding order is "very encouraging."
