ASIA'S BIGGEST CASINO OPENS IN CEBU

Cebu City, April 4, 1998 - Tourist arrivals are expected to substantially increase in Cebu with the opening of the new Casino Filipino at thee Waterfront Hotel, Lahug.

The casino is reputedly the most spacious in Asia.

Cebu Casino Filipino branch manager Dan Dia admitted that the regional financial crisis has affected the business because most of the high stake players visiting Philippine casinos are Asians. However, gamblers from other parts of the world are slowly filling in the slack and are expected to be attracted by the new casino.

Dia likewise batted for more international direct flights to Cebu City, which will directly contribute to an increase in casino players.

The five-storey casino building was constructed by investors who sank more than P150 million into the project.
