"LABAN BUNO"(FILIPINO WRESTLING)

Hamburg, New York, April 8, 1998 - Martial Arts Master Gat Puno Abon "Garimot" Baet based in Miami, Florida, is holding a "Laban Buno" (Filipino wrestling) Seminar on May 2, 1998 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Erie Community College, South Campus Gymnassium Orchard Park, NY.
Abon Baet has studied Arnis de Mano since he was a young boy growing up in Paete, Laguna, Philippines under his father who was a Martial Arts guru himself. Baet founded the P.A.E.T.E. (for Paaralan ng Arnis Estokada at Tradisyonal Eskrima) or the Philippine Martial Arts Garimot System, USA and the Laguna Arnis Federation International.
He is residing in Miami Florida with his wife Maura Aca Abueg and teaches professional Arnis and Harimaw (King Tiger Wrestling) and travels all over the USA as well as worldwide spreading the art and skill of Arnis de Mano and Filipino Wrestling (Buno).
Baet has won the 1997 award from the World Christian Martial Arts Hall of Fame in New Jersey, USA, the Florida Martial Arts Brotherhood Hall of Fame in 1996 as the Stickfighting Champion of the World, and the Philippine Martial Arts Master of the Year award in 1997. He published his first book "Is Arnis de Mano Dead in the Philippines" in the Inside Kung-Fu Magazine last year. His first book in BUNO (Filipino Wrestling) is due for publication this year.
