ESENG NG TONDO SWEEPS FAP AWARDS

Quezon City, April 28, 1998 - Maricel Soriano (Nasaan ang Puso) and Zsa Zsa Padilla (Batang PX) shared the Best Actress Award from the Film Academy of the Philippines handed out last weekend at the University Theater at UP in Diliman.

The others are: Best Picture: Eseng ng Tondo by Viva Films and FPJ productions; Best Director: Augusto Salvador and Ronwaldo Reyes. a.k.a. FPJ, for Eseng ng Tondo; Best Original Screenplay: Manny Buising and Pablo Gomez for Eseng ng Tondo; Best Adapted Screenplay: Jose Mari Avellana for Damong Ligaw.

Best Actor was Fernando Poe Jr. for Eseng ng Tondo; Best Supporting Actor was Ronaldo Valdez for Nasaan ang Puso, while Best Supporting Actress was Nida Blanca for Babae.

Best Cinematography: Joe Tutanes for Ipaglaban Mo, The Movie II; Best Film Editing: Augusto Salvador for Eseng ng Tondo; Best Musical Score: Willy Cruz for Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin; Best Original Song: Ligaya ang Itawag Mo sa Akin written by Ryan Cayabyab; Best Sound Editing: Vic Macamay for Babae and Best Production Design: Manny Morfe for The Sarah Balabagan Story.
