ANJANETTE AND BEAU HOST BORACAY BIKINI CONTEST

Boracay Island, April 24, 1998 - Beautiful twosome Anjanette Abayari and David Bunevacz will host the First Boracay Bikini Open Competition, a contest to find the sexiest, best-looking men and women in the boldest bikinis and swimming apparel.

The finals will be held on Boracay April 30, preceded by a series of luncheon shows at the Fashion Cafe from April 20 to 24.

"David and I are so excited to fly to Boracay for the bikini contest. The Boracay Bikini Open Competition is a way to promote the beauty of the Philippines and its people though a legitimate contest," Anjanette said.

This year's contest is open only to Filipinos, but the 199 pageant will include contestants from other Asian countries. By the year 2000, the Boracay Bikini Open will be fully international, with participants from Europe, North and South America.

This year, the prizes include cash awards, memberships to Slimmers' World International and a one-year, two-picture contract with Viva Films. The winning female contestant also automatically qualifies for the 1998 Elite Model Search.
