HERBERT'S LOLA HAMMERED TO DEATH

Manila, April 23, 1998 - The grandmother of former Quezon City vice mayor and now candidate of mayor Herbert Bautista was found dead in her home in Sta. Cruz, Manila. A bloodied hammer was found beside her body.

Missing were her keys and an estimated P30,000 which relatives was in her dress pockets.

The victim, 87-year-old Eladia Bautista, was the mother of Herbert's father Butch Bautista, a movie director and Quezon City councilor.

Police investigators said the victim must have known the killer as there was no sign of forcible entry.
