NO RECONCILIATION WITH DAYANARA -- AGA
Manila, April 19, 1998 - Dayanara Torres, former Miss Universe, returns to the Philippines in a month or so to do a lot of things: a concert or two, a movie with Cesar Montano for Star Cinema, guestings on TV shows to promote her internationally-acclaimed platinum album. But one thing not on her calendar nor on her ex-boyfriend Aga Muhlach's is: reconcile and make beautiful music once more together.
"I found it amusing to read reports that predict we will be back in each other's arms," said Aga to Manila Times writer Mario Bautista. "I expect no such thing. The memories we've shared together will always be there, but the feeling, it's gone."
Aga is no longer sad nor bitter about losing Dayanara. "It was best that we parted while we still felt some love for each other, because at least we will be nice to each other when we next meet because there is no bitterness in our hearts."
Several months ago, Aga cried on live TV while being interviewed after Dayanara told TV audiences by phone that she was no longer returning to Manila. Aga has since recovered, and has no romantic involvement at the moment. He stays alone in his brand new home, the one he built at the time when the whole world thought he was headed for the altar with Dayanara.
The Puerto Rican beauty queen-turned-actress returned to her home country for a short vacation, decided to stay to launch her career as a singer, and the rest is history.
