MARK FERNANDEZ TO U.S. AFTER REHAB

Quezon City, April 18, 1998 - Young actor Mark Anthony Fernandez was released a few days ago from a Quezon City hospital where he underwent detoxification.

Mark had shaved his hair, misleading people into concluding that he was confined for drug rehab. But his family and friends were assured that his case only involved alcohol, not drugs.

The son of action star Rudy Fernandez and Alma Moreno (now wife of Paranaque Mayor Joey Marquez) is reportedly planning to take it easy and relax in the United States for six months before returning to revive his film career.

He has made up with ever-forgiving manager Douglas Quijano, who is expected to once more open his arms and be surrogate father-cum-manager for Mark when the young man returns before Christmas.
