SCALPERS SELL TICKETS TO GOMA-LUCY WEDDING

Ormoc City, April 16, 1998 - The Manila Times reports that scalpers are selling unauthorized tickets to the April 28 wedding of actor Richard Gomez and heiress-model Lucy Torres at Ormoc's Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral.

The tickets will supposedly serve as gate pass and parking pass to people who want to witness the wedding inside the church. The scam is allegedly being perpetrated by an employee of the church.

Richard and Lucy want as many Ormoc residents as possible to participate in their wedding, which is why they are holding a pre-nuptial party at the Ormoc Coliseum, and technicians are installing three vidiwall screens which will "broadcast" the wedding live from inside the church.

Meantime, the couple's honeymoon itinerary has been published by the press. First stop for the love birds is Paris, then Florence, Zurich, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
