PILITA CORRALES RUNNING
FOR CONGRESS

Quezon City, April 10, 1998 - Pilita Corrales, "Asia's Queen of Songs" is determined to seek a congressional berth in Quezon City's fourth district.

In an interview with the Daily Inquirer, Pilita expressed her desire to "enter other fields" where she could be of service to her constituents, especially in the fourth district.

Pilita had been busy discovering, promoting and launching new stars in the music industry for the past years as her own music career has waned. Before her annoucement to enter politics she had made plans to do concert tours again, one of which would be a return concert in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Another movie actress, Dina Bonnevive and television host Inday Badiday are being groomed to be running mate of mayoral aspirant Brigido Simon Jr in the May polls in this city.
