DONNA CRUZ TO WED CEBUANO EYE DOCTOR

Manila, April 5, 1998 - It is official, Donna Cruz, erstwhile showbiz love-team of Nora Aunor's son, Ian de Leon and actor Jao Mapa is getting married to Dr Potenciano Lardizabal, an opthalmologist from Cebu City, on September 19, 1998 at the San Agustin Church in Manila..

Donna, 21 and Doc Lardizabal, 29. met on a blind date before Christmas last year. Parents of both met last March 9 when final plans for the wedding were made.

Donna is presently busy in the campaign trail for the LAKAS standard bearer Jose de Venecia. She is expected to finish her movie commitments with Viva Films. After the wedding she said it is 'goodbye showbiz!'

The prospective groom is from Cebu City. His family owns the Cebu Doctors Hospital.
