MADRIGAL SINGERS 35th 
ANNIVERSARY 

Manila, April 2, 1998 - World-renowned UP Madrigal singers celebrated their 35th anniversary with a major concert last March at the CCP's Nicanor Ablelardo Theater. The performance was also in observance of the country's Centennial celebration.

Dubbed Bayan Ko, Aawitan Kita, the fundraising concert featured new arrangements of Original Pilipino Music rendered a capella.

The proceeds of the concert go to projects of the GMA Foundation, the construction of the UP High Alumni Building and to help defray the expenses in the Madrigal Singers' tour in Europe's Choeur Laureate in France, the Zimriya Festival in Jerusalem where Prof Andrea Veneracion will also give a workshop on choral repertoire and in other parts of Italy.
