SUCCESS FOR RP EXHIBITORS AT HANNOVER FAIR
Hannover, Germany, April 28, 1998 - At least 16 of the 89 companies participating in the world's biggest and most prestigious industrial fair have reported profitable results.
The most impressive is the F. Jacinto Group, which was able to conclude a $1.7 million deal for its LPG (liquified petroleum gas) cylinders.
Mercedita Pastrana, manager of the Jacinto Group's energy transfer division, confirmed an order for 100,000 LPG cyinders from a Jordanian company. Other serious inquiries for thepproduct came fromSri Lanka and Brazil.
Prior to this, the company closed a deal for $1.6 million worth of LPG tanks for Shell International's operations in Africa. The Jacinto Group also supplies 0% of the LPG cylinder market in the Philippines.
Another success story is Titan Megabags Industrial Corporation, owned by Herman Montenegro, which manufactures polypropylene bags than can carry weights of up to five tons. Western Europeans were so impressed by the product that they were willing to pay a premium for them, despite an offer from a Czech firm whose bags cost $2.50 less peer piece.
