PESO STEADY AT P38.10=$1
Manila, April 11, 1998 - The peso remained strong and below the P40=$1 psychological benchmark Wednesday, the last trading day before the Philippine Dealing System closes for a 4- day Lenten holiday.
Trading at P38.10 per US dollar, the peso was lower than Tuesday's average of P37.70 to the dollar.
Volume of transactions amounted to $146.5 million.
