TWO EL NIDO RESORT ISLANDS UNAFFECTED BY FIRE

Manila, March 27, 1998 - The island resorts of Miniloc and Lagen continue to operate and are now accommodating tourists originally destined for the Pangulasian Island Resort in El Nido, Palawan. All three resorts are managed by the Ten Knots Development Corporation, a member of the Anscor Group of Companies.

Earlier, a fire of unknown origin broke out at the Pangulasian Island Resort, but no one was hurt and the fire was placed under control in only 3 hours, despite prevailing strong winds.

An alert and efficient staff took care of the guests, ensuring their comfort and safety, and smooth transfer to the other two resorts. Pangulasian had a two-thirds occupancy rate at the time.

Although the Pangulasian Resort will be shut down for reconstruction, the El Nido Resort management will house all tourists previously booked there at the two other properties of the Anscor Group of Companies.
