CENTENNIAL INFRASTRUCTURES ON SCHEDULE
Clark Field, Pampanga, March 20, 1998 - According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) assured that all centennial-related infrastructure projects will be finished on schedule.
This projects include the construction of the 792-meter J. Abad Extension, which costs P14.8 million; the 1.5-kilometer Prince Balagtas Avenue, P29.3 million; the 350-meter Sacoba Lake earth dam and concrete spillway, P40 million; the Industrial Estate V-Phase I, P80 million; the installation of a modern traffic light system, P15 million; the widening of Gil Puyat Avenue by at least four lanes, P50.5 million; and the procurement of construction equipment, P20 million.
BCDA also reports that the construction of the bridge which will connect the Clark Main Zone Area to its subzone in Barangay Calumpang in Bamban, Tarlac, is 70% complete.
The bridge will pave the way for faster implementation of consequent projects by providing better access to and from the outlying areas, thus ensuring greater business activity in the coming years..
