9 NEW HOTEL/RESORT PROJECTS ENDORSED
Manila, March 12, 1998 - The Department of Tourism has endorsed at least 9 tourism projects worth P286.4 million to the Board of Investments for the month of January.
The projects include two class AA resorts in Zambales and Davao and one class A resort in Iligan City.
The P65.3-million Mountain Breeze Resort in Sitio Toril, Davao City, is expected to be completed early next year, while the P40-million Planet View Beach Resort in San Antonio, Zambales, will start operating its 60-room facilities by the end of this year.
The other endorsed projects are: Aklan Grand Hotel (40 rooms, P47-million investment), Villa Manuel Roger-Jackie Pension House Cottages in Puerto Princesa (45 rooms and cottages), Chateau Angelique in Jaro, Iloilo (P37-million investment), FGS pension house (47-room inn along Lopez Jaena street).
Also listed in the tourism development projects is the P17.9-million Dinatilan Spring Resort in Tabucan, Paranas, Samar.
