CROSS-STITCHING CENTENNIAL
COMPETITION & CELEBRATION
Manila, March 9, 1998 - The DMC Needlecraft Asia, leading manufacturer of cross-stitch and embroidery thread is sponsoring once again the Likhang Karayom, a nation-wide cross-stitch exhibition and competition.
Organized by the Needlecraft Association of the Philippines (NAP), Likhang Karayom '98 will be held at the SM Megatrade Hall on October 14 to 18, 1998. This year's theme is "Celebrating the Philippine Centennial" in commemoration of the Philippines' 100th year of independence.
Cross-stitch hobbyists may choose from three categories: Philippine Centennial, Filipiniana, and a Special Category that requires the use of DMC's new metallic thread (art 317-Gold/Silver) to embellish the design.
Interested participants who do not consider cross-stitch their forte may join the Needlepoint, Hardanger and Multi-Media categories.
