JAPANESE EMBASSY OFFERS JOB

Manila, March 8, 1998 - The Japanese Embassy announced that interested Filipino applicants who are less than 35 years old with Filipino citizenship, a bachelor's degree and good command of English and working knowledge of Japanese may appply as participants to the JET '98 (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Program to work as Coordinator for International Relations for Kamogawacho for one year starting July 1998.
The duties of the CIR which are carried under the guidance of the division of management in offices in prefectures, cities, towns and villages are:
Assistance with projects related to international activities carried out by the local government; Assistance with language instruction of government employees and local residents; Assistance with and participation in activities of local private groups or organizations engaging in international exchange; Assistance with or creation of exchange activities related to local resident's cross-cultural awareness and understanding.
The JET Program seeks to help enhance internationalization in Japan by promoting mutual understanding between Japan and other nations.
