CYBERSPACE HAS COME TO MAKATI
Makati City, March 6, 1998 - Cyberspace has invaded Makati in the most human of space architecture. Cyberia Internet Cafe is open and running in the heart of Makati.
The Cyberia-Makati's 730-square-meter area displays 15 domes scattered liberally across the ceiling, double glass sliding doors, elevated levels and suspended aluminum domes hovering over the glass-covered computer tabletops which serve the rather difficult task of muffling the reverberating sound of music.
Hidden away on the second floor loft by swinging doors, is an eficient "smokeless" kitchen. The food goes straight out to the cozy coaches which are complete with computers and comfortable sofa seats and the kidney-shaped bar which sits right in the middle of the room.
Cyberia offers a function room enclosed by eight pivoting doors equipped with audiovisual equipment, including television monitors and strategically-placed cameras.
How it feels to be there is still a little difficult to fathom. But it can be so "traditionally" high-tech!
