PADILLA BREAKS RAPID FIRE PISTOL RECORDS
Manila, March 31, 1998 - Nathaniel "Tac" Padilla fired 583 points Saturday to shatter the Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) and the Southeast Asian Shooting Association (SEASA) rapid fire pistol even records in the eliminations for the country's team to the world championship in Barcelona.
Padilla toppled the 582 mark set by Thailand's Jakkrit Panichpatikum in the recent SEASA championships in Manila and the 581 SEAG standard set by another Thai in 1989 in Kuala Lumpur. Padilla's performance pushed him to victory at the PSC Range in Fort Bonifacio.
