MAEGAN -- FREDDIE AGUILAR'S FAVORITE "ANAK"
Manila, March 31, 1998 - His song "Anak" may have been recorded in many languages around the world, but Freddie Aguilar is proudest these days of his real "Anak" Maegan Aguilar.
While Freddie may have helped get Maegan into the TV show "That's Entertainment" and other guest stints, Maegan relied on her own brand of music to keep going when the youth-oriented show went kaput. She even took on a few acting assignments but the good-looking teener made it clear that music is her choice, not acting or TV hosting.
Maegan has just released a new album entitled "Burst" under Neo records. It has 12 songs, 10 of which are her own compositions, while one is a collaboration with Abe Hipolito.
One of the songs, the carrier single "Salamin (Ayoko Na)" has been incorporated into the soundtracks of a local teen-oriented show. It is about standing up for what one wants.
Maegan launched the album on TV Sunday, and will be touring night spots and clubs throughout April. She will be at Kampo March 30, Pep's Alabang April 1, Ka Freddie's Tagaytay April 12, 70's Bistro April 14 and Freedom Bar April 16.
