VINTAGE CARS, RP LIFESTYLE EXHIBITS AT XMAS VILLAGE
Christmas Village, Pampanga, Feb. 25, 1998 - The new Philippine Christmas Village in San Fernando, Pampanga is the venue of two unique events: a Vintage Cars show and an exhibition of Philippine Lifestyles and Floral Arrangements.
On display until March 15 at the Medinilla Exhibition Grounds are classic cars, including a 1956 Oldsmobile Holiday, 19577 MG, 1936 Ford Model A, 1939 Mercedes Benz, 1942 Buick, 1948 Dodge, 1962 Fiat and an Alfa Romeo.
For the rare automotive show, the Department of Tourism tapped the King of Vintage Cars, architect CC Castro. Castro has more than 200 vintage cars in his stable, making him one of the most notable car collectors in the world.
Castro's cars have been featured extensively in international newspapers and magazines. He's also been interviewed for television documentaries and specials that have been shown worldwide via satellite.
