P47-B TOURISM PROJECTS IN CLARK ECO-ZONE
Clark Field, Feb. 2, 1998 - Tourism has attracted the most number of investors into the Clark Special Economic Zone, with 12 locators involved in P47 billion worth of projects, expected to generate 23,138 jobs.
This was reported by Romeo David, president of Clark Development Corporation, in a report titled Clark Development Corporation Economic Zone: Central Tourism Opportunities.
David traced the continuous surge of foreign investors in Clark to the attractive investment incentives offered by the economic zone: tax and duty-free importation of machinery, equipment, raw materials, supplies and other articles including finished goods.
Clark's tourism estate projects are the resort complex of the Mondragon Leisure and Resort; the Asia Limited Allied Services golf driving range, pro-shop, hotel and restaurant, entertainment and amusement center; the Eight Integrated Development Corporation's hotel complex; and the Crown and Leisure Resorts' convention, entertainment and amusement center.
The other developments are: the tourism and recreational theme park of the Fun Avenue Development Corporation; the tourism complex of the Global Clark Assets Corporation; the tourism resort complex of the Golden Fortune Travel and Entertainment Ltd.; Hacienda Golf Company; the hotel and golf complex of Sacobia Hills Development Corporation; and the tourism complex of the First Centennial Clark Corporation.
Also on the expansion list are cinema and shopping arcade projects, villas and condominium-type facilities, and additional hotels and casinos.
