"This is Metroball's way of bringing back those days when a franchise and its players were institutions within their communities," Tuason said.
Metroball has 12 franchises nationwide, in Pangasinan, Pampanga, Batangas, Manila, Pasig and Laguna for the Northern Conference and Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Cagayan and Socsargen for the Southern Conference.
Another unique Metroball program will help place league players into promising full-time jobs. By teaming players with local businessmen, the MBA allows its athletes to learn necessary skills to become future community and civic leaders.
