ADORNADO GAY, SAYS WIFE WHO WANTS OUT
Quezon City, Feb. 5, 1998 - The wife of the first Most Valuable Player of the Philippine Basketball Association William "Bogs" Adornado is seeking a legal annulment of their marriage, charging that he is gay.
In a petition to the Quezon City Regional Trial Court, Mrs. Agnes Adornado said her husband's interest was and still is in younger boys and men, and that she has secured confessions from such other men who have had sex with her husband.
Agnes added that their honeymoon in May, 1988, was exhausted without any sexual congress and union. "He was never gentle nor sweet but showed signs of anger, hostility and fury in his sexual actions as if his attempts at love-making were a heavy burden on his part and a detestable compulsion," she said in her petition.
Instead of making love to her, Adornado allegedly found greater pleasure watching television and playing with his sex organ in the process. She added that on few occasions, the kinky, bizarre and abnormal sexual behavior of her husband continued during the marriage and became manifest, chronic and permanent.
On the rare occasions when their marriage was consummated, she got pregnant. They have four children. Due to frustration at her husband's behavior, she left took the kids and left him, after which he refused to support her and her children.
She asked the Quezon City court to order Adornado to give them financial support.
