JESTONI DENIES HE'S VICTOR WOOD'S SON

Manila, Feb. 13, 1998 - Jestoni Alarcon merely laughs off the rumors that he is Victor Wood's long-lost son.

"I know who my real father is. His name is Fortunato Alarcon and he died when I was four years old. He was a bodyguard for a politician in Cavite and died in an encounter with political opponents. I was raised by my mother and Lola," Jess recounts.

He admitted having met Victor Wood several times.

"I met Victor Wood a few times in Los Angeles because he's a friend of my wife's (Lizette Capili) parents. But he did not even raise that issue when we met then," Jestoni added.

Lizette and Jestoni have a new baby, their third child and first son after two daughters. The boy was born Jan. 9 and named Anthony Pierce. His baptismal sponsors last weekend were Ian Veneracion, Rita Avila, Angelique Lazo and Jess Lapid Jr.

Jestoni admitted that he and Lizette went through a brief separation, but their relationship is better and stronger now that they have reconciled.
