WILL VILMA MARK HER WORDS?

Manila, Feb.10, 1998 -Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos has stated a few times earlier that one politician in the family is enough. "Hindi kami puwedeng magsabay ng asawa ko sa politics." (My husband Ralph Recto who is the politician in the family and I cannot be in politics together).

She said, "it is true that too many people are inviting me to run for Mayor in my husband's town in Batangas and my husband is supportive of it, but I don't want to run for mayor." She said further that it will complicate their life as a family if both she and her husband are in politics. "Anyway, for me," she said, "if it is about helping our people, I do it well outside politics."

Vilma avowed that she is not really ready for politics. She has lots of other priorities in her life now. Could be her return to the movies, her husband, and her two kids, Lucky and Christian.
