GOMA'S FIANCEE WANTS MANY CHILDREN
Manila, Feb. 8, 1998 - The future Mrs. Richard Gomez went to church every Wednesday and Friday for many years to ask God for a good husband.
In one of the first interviews for a national daily, Lucy Torres told Malaya's Maridol Ranoa that she's started influencing Richard, taking the actor to church several times a week.
"I want praying the rosary to be a daily habit in our house. Right now, I bring Richard to church every Wednesday and Friday. If he does not have time, I tell him he should at least go hear mass Sundays. I also tell him it's wrong to miss Sunday mass," Lucy said.
Lucy is described as a confirmed homebody who's slow to anger, knowledgeable in traditional home crafts like embroidery, crocheting and cross stitching.
She wants "four little brown boys for her first set of children, so they can take care of the girls who will come after. If she can have her way, their children will not enter showbiz until after they've finished school.
"I want them to lead a normal life and not miss out on anything during childhood," Lucy says.
How does she plan to turn the huge mansion Richard built in Greenhills into a home?
"I'll fill it up with children," said the woman who will become Mrs. Richard Gomez on April 28.
