AIKO AND JOMARI BREAK UP

Manila, Feb. 7, 1998 - It's over. The 19-month-old romance of Aiko Melendez and Jomari Yllana is finished, irrevocably ended.

According to Ethel Ramos, in her column published by Malaya, the cause of the break-up is not Aiko's ex-boyfriend Aga Muhlach who's her leading man in her latest movie.

Jomari reportedly was seriously jealous about a suspected relationship between Aiko and Ira Cruz a former member of the Passage Band.

What hurts Aiko most is the fact that the whole town knew that her romance with Jomari was over long before she even got a whiff that there was any problem between her and Jomari. She only learned about it Thursday, after everyone had been told about it.

Aiko swears there's nothing more than friendship between her and Ira Cruz, and that Jomari knew about their friendship.

As of yesterday, Ethel Ramos was still hoping Jomari and Aiko would sit down and talk face-to-face about the matter, hoping that they could at least part as friends if they could not longer reconcile.
