JUKEBOX KING, VICTOR WOOD RETURNS HOME

Quezon City, Feb.2, 1998 - Victor Wood, Mr Jukebox of the 1970s has come home after a lengthy self-imposed exile in the US.

He left the Philippines in 1984 and lived as an illegal alien for 15 years in California performing as a singer in local lounges and selling pots and pans at the same time.

Wood plans to launch a new career as a comedian in the Philippines. He also developed to be a serious composer-pianist while in the US and has honed his skills as an abstract expressionist painter.
