DAYS HOTEL TO RISE IN MACTAN
Mactan, Cebu, Jan. 30, 1998 - The Visayas will get its second Days Hotel at the highest peal in Mactan Island, a location that provides a panoramic view of Cebu City and the new international airport.
The 127-room hotel creates a new enclave in the emerging powerhouse of Cebu -- Mactan Island -- where the Mactan International Airport and the export processing zone are located.
Mactan and Cebu islands are serviced by transportation systems that not only connect them to each other but also make them accessible to other islands in the Eastern Visayas and Central Visayas regions.
Modern inter-island luxury ocean vessels and faster small seacraft commute daily between Cebu and Manila, Ormoc and other ports. The deregulation of the domestic airline industry now allows several airline companies to aggressively compete in servicing the Visayas routes, giving travellers a choice of several flights daily to all major destinations with Cebu as the regional hub.
The Days Hotel chain has opened four properties in one year, in Batangas City, Ormoc, Iloilo and San Fernando, Pampanga.
