IFUGAO YOUTH HOSTEL OPENS IN APRIL

Mayoyao, Ifugao, Jan. 27, 1998 - The 9-room Mayoyao Youth Hotel being constructed by the Philippine Tourism Authority will be ready for operation in April.

Mayor Sanny Pelogna announced that the Youth Hostel, the first such project in this municipality, will have two dormitories and is in Mapawoy, two hours away from the tourist town of Banaue.

The hostel overlooks the best of the rice terraces in Central Mayoyao, and will boost tourism in the town.

Residents expect to benefit from an inflow of local and foreign tourists with the availability of safe and affordable lodgings once the hostel is operational.
