MIRACULOUS PINATUBO VIRGIN FEAST DAY

Botolan, Zambales, Jan. 22, 1998 - Devotees have already started to hold vigils at the Ina Poon Bato Shrine in the New Poon Bato Loobunga Resettlement in this town, in preparation for the feast day of Saturday of the Miraculous Lady of Mt. Pinatubo.

In an unprecedented display of devotion, 13 municipalities of the province of Zambales have joined a Crusade for World Peace, with a rally centering on the Ina Poon Bato.

Masses will be held at the shrine daily from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m., to accommodate the thousands of devotees who will travel from all parts of the Philippines.

The miraculous Filipino image was canonically blessed by Pope John Paul II in Rome in 1985.
