SWEDISH TOUR AGENT TO SELL RP PACKAGES
Cebu City, Jan. 20, 1998 - ABC Tours Asia of Sweden is evaluating several Philippine destinations for inclusion in its 1999 program.
Lars Noren, production Manager of ABC Tours, was at the Asean Tourism Forum meeting with resorts and tour operators.
"The climate in the Philippines now is different from several years ago. The Philippines is now peaceful and has new tourism products," Noren said.
A big plus is the fact that Philippine Airlines has daily flights to Copenhagen.
Noren said he will feature Cebu, Davao and Boracay. "These three islands have great diving spots and golf courses. There are 400,000 divers and 500,000 golfers in Sweden," he explained.
His marketing approach is to sell 15-day packages with Philippine destinations in combination with another country, possibly Hong Kong.
