BIGGER, GRANDER HUNDRED ISLANDS FESTIVAL

Alaminos, Pangasinan, Jan. 5, 1998 - A grander celebration is expected when the 3rd Annual Hundred Islands Festival unfolds from February 23-27.

Congressman Hernani Braganza announced that this year, the festival will be held also in celebration of the centennial of Philippine Independence, with the theme "Hundred Years, Hundred Islands...One Pangasinan, Where Tourism and Industry Meet."

The festival aims to promote the first district of Pangasinan as a haven for industry, tourism and agriculture. It will also focus on environmental awareness, livelihood and sports development and preservation of Pangasinan's cultural heritage.
